Jools Walker (She/Her)

I'm Jools Walker, an author, freelance writer, voiceover artist, and an experienced TV, radio, and podcasting broadcaster.

Under the moniker LadyVelo, I worked in the cycling industry for over a decade to widen participation and increase diversity in cycling for marginalised and under-represented groups. It all started in 2010 with my award-winning blog Vélo-City-Girl. I went on to work as a presenter on ITV4's The Cycle Show, co-founded the Women Of Colour Cycling Collective, and penned the best-selling memoir 'Back in the Frame: Cycling, Belonging and Finding Joy on a Bike'.

I entered the world of Podcasting in 2021, launching Adventures in Coffee, a fortnightly narrative podcast exploring the human stories behind your coffee. In its debut series, AIC was named "New and Noteworthy" by Apple Podcasts and was nominated for 'Best Coffee Podcast' in the Sprudge (Sprudgie) Awards 2023.

I LOVE writing about my other interests and have produced articles for publications including The Guardian, Rouleur, Time Out London, Caffeine Magazine, Cycling UK, Grazia, and Refinery29.

Across my various platforms, I cover multiple subjects, including travel, food culture, tech, street style, stories from the Black diaspora and health and wellbeing.

I have partnered with and produced content for various global brands - some of which are listed below. You can see more of my experience on LinkedIn.

Please get in touch if you'd like to chat about working together.
